Important Notes for Arts Group - PTB
- Students must choose two elective subjects (150 marks each) from the available groups
- Elective subjects can be chosen from different groups (mix & match allowed)
- General Science and General Mathematics are compulsory for all Arts students in both 9th and 10th classes
- Practical subjects (like Computer Science, Health & Physical Education, Fine Arts, Music) have both theory and practical components (120 Theory + 30 Practical)
- Subject combinations should be chosen based on future career plans
- Popular combinations: General Arts (Education + Islamic Studies), Computer Arts (Computer Science + Economics), Physical Education (Health & PE + Civics)

Important Note - Matric-Tech Groups
These new groups will be implemented from April 1, 2025. Students can choose to study in either Urdu or English medium. The first annual examination under the new curriculum will be held in March 2026. GPA Calculation
GPA is calculated by multiplying grade points with credit hours and dividing by total credit hours. The new system will be implemented in phases starting with classes 9 and 11 from 2026, followed by classes 10 and 12 from 2027.
Minimum Passing Criteria
Students must obtain at least 40% marks in each subject and overall to pass the examination. The term "Unsatisfactory" (E Grade) has replaced "Fail" for students scoring between 40-59%.
